January is nationally recognized as Get Organized Month. NAPO organizers all across the country plan events during GO Month in order to raise awareness and educate the public about the benefits of getting organized. Here in northeast Ohio, the NAPO North Coast Ohio chapter celebrates GO Month each year by providing pro-bono organizing services to a local non-profit group.
GO Month 2017 Highlights
Our 2017 GO Month project was at the Boys and Girls Club of the Western Reserve located in Akron, Ohio. This amazing organization provides after school and school break programming to school age, at-risk youth. The Boy and Girls Club changes lives in the Greater Akron area. The NAPO North Coast Ohio Chapter was ‘ALL IN’ to organize and give back to this community.
8 Professional Organizers and 2 Closet Designers donated 50 man-hours of time to the Boys and Girls Club. We sorted, purged, containerized, and optimized their main storage spaces.
We created a safe and accessible storage room and freed up available space to relocate additional items currently being housed off-site.
